Donkova Seka is a reef located next to islets of Katic and Sveta Nedjelja, near old fishing town of Petrovac. On the top of the Sveta Nedjelja, is a small church. Legend tells that a church was built by a thankful seafarers, who were saved from a shipwreck on this island.
The rustic beauty of the islets and the town and a versatile marine life, makes this location an extraordinary dive trip. The highest point of the reef starts at only 1 m depth and drops to a maximum of 30m. Both islands that are located only about 300m from the reef, also make for a very good dive experience.
This area is designated to become a first MPA zone (Marine Protected Area) in Montenegro. Dive center Scuba Quest, is proud to be a part of this project that is headed by the Montenegrin and Italian Ministry of Environmental Protection. You can find out more about MPA project in Dive Reports/ Actions/News on our home page.
